NextPRO Training and Methodology

Our methodology combines technical work, tactics, physical preparation, mental training, and match play, following an annual plan designed to ensure the player’s continuous development. All training components are integrated and fully personalized.
  • Individual technique: improvement of stroke mechanics, consistency, serve, and return.
  • Applied tactics: development of game patterns, decision-making, and opponent analysis.

  • Planned match play: controlled sets, competition simulations, and post-match technical analysis.

Indicative weekly schedule and structure

The training week is organized to balance tennis, physical preparation, recovery, and, when applicable, academic work. The general structure is as follows:
  • Mornings: technical–tactical sessions and specific game situations.
  • Midday / early afternoon: physical preparation (strength, speed, coordination).
  • Afternoons: match play, guided sets, and tournament simulations.
  • Academic work: flexible schedule for players who are studying.
The overall workload is adjusted according to the phase of the season (training load, competition, transition) to ensure consistent progress without the risk of overtraining.

Competition calendar and planning

Competition is a fundamental pillar of the Annual High-Performance Tennis Program. Each player receives a personalized calendar based on their level, age, projection, and athletic objectives. The focus is not on accumulating tournaments, but on competing where it truly contributes to development.
  • RFET competitions according to category and progression.
  • Tennis Europe (U12, U14, U16) for players with international projection.
  • ITF World Tennis Tour Junior for advanced profiles focused on high performance.
  • Weekly internal match play to maintain competitive rhythm.
  • Controlled matches with defined technical and tactical objectives.
  • Load management plan adjusted to competition and recovery weeks.

Competitive support

We offer professional support so that each tournament contributes to the player’s real development. This service is additional and offered subject to the availability of the technical staff.
  • Guidance on registration and calendar planning.
  • Technical analysis of matches and review of game patterns.
  • Personalized tactical objectives for each match.
  • Post-tournament report and adjustments to the training plan.
The season is managed as an annual athletic project, not as a series of isolated tournaments. Each competition has a clear purpose within the player’s development plan.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum level required to enter the Annual Program?

How many weeks does the Annual Program last and when does it start?
The Annual Program covers the entire competitive season, from the start of the academic year to the end of the competitive calendar. Players may join at different points during the year, always following an initial evaluation and approval by the technical staff.
Can the Annual Program be combined with official studies?
Yes. We work with a hybrid academic system (online + on-site) through a school authorized by the Department of Education, which allows high-performance training to be combined with official studies.
Does the Annual Program include tournament planning?
Yes. We design a personalized competition calendar (RFET, Tennis Europe, ITF Junior, local tournaments, and internal match play) adapted to the player’s level and objectives, with technical follow-up at key moments.
Is it mandatory to stay at the NextPRO residence?
It is not mandatory, but it is highly recommended for players who do not live near the club or who want to experience a complete high-performance tennis academy experience in Barcelona. The residence is located within Can Via Racket Club and offers a safe and supervised environment.
How does the admission process to the Annual Program begin?
The first step is to request an admission interview, during which we analyze the player’s profile, objectives, and availability. We then carry out an on-court evaluation and, if there is a good fit, we define an annual plan and complete the registration process.
